About the Artist

Lior Kaminetsky, earned a Masters’ degree in Violin performance & Musicology from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Hebrew University. At present lives in Beverly Hills after recieving high prestigue USC award towards additional degree at the Thornton School of Music, USC. He won various awards from the Universite De Sorbon, Gratz Academy and the Schwerin Academy institutions, and from the Ella  Fitchgerald Charitable, Nowakowsky and America-Israel Cultural foundations. He served as the chairman of the JAMD students' organization and won the Chamber and Duo Academy Music competitions. He has performed widely abroad and has appeared on Radio stations and TVs as well as at the Dying to Live, documentary film by Ben Mittleman

Kaminetsky, 7th generation Jerusalamite, was born to a traditional and musical family. He is the youngest of 4 boys, son of the Chazzan, Cantor Jacob and Ofra Kaminetsky z"l. He served as a Medic in the IDF as part of his Yeshiva studies program and earnd a Teaching certificate in Jewish Philosophy and Jewish Oral studies at the Herzog institute at the Har Etzion Yeshiva

udaism and music have always been two of the most important factors in Lior's life and both influenced his original Jewish music compositions
Lior has a wide ranging repertoire which includes classical music and Jewish music, as well as Klezmer. His compositions fuse traditional melodies with exciting improvisation and vocals. Lior's unique performances reflect the breadth of his musicianship - virtuosity as a performer and originality as an arranger and composer
